Our third beer is a West Coaster: Sierra Nevada’s Glissade Golden Bock. A deep ruddy color and complex aroma gives way to a slightly spicy, medium-bodied glass of awesome.

Samuel Smith Organics (via Wolfman-K)

I first saw these brews while perusing the awesome Beer/Pub photoblog Beer Lens.

I didn’t think they were available here in the states but my friend Ben came across them at Beers of the World and picked up a bottle of the Cherry, Raspberry and Strawberry for us to try. I happened to find the Cider at Nathanial Square Corner Store last week, so I tossed that into the mix, for our informal tasting last night.

Samuel Smith is known here in the states for having “classic” English Brews. Nut Brown, Taddy Porter, Oatmeal Stout, etc. But this is the first time I’ve run accross something new by the old brewery, at least on this side of the pond.

htmh #14 shock top, pre birthday but post explosion

This week Rob & Keith talk Michelob and more…

We had a bit of technical difficulties with our Skype connection this week.  Don’t worry it’s not your equipment, it’s us, and it doesn’t last long.  Sorry for the inconvienance but I couldn’t edit it out without losing content.

htmh #11 rebooting the ommegang abbey ale

Smooth as silk this week.  Even less than an hour long!  Woot.

This week Rob and Keith talk about:

  • Our increasingly obscene pre-show banter.
  • Film strips in school.
  • Ommegang Abbey Ale 4/5
  • We’ve got zip or… The Star Trek Review
  • Reboots
  • Season Finales
