A Thoughtful Moment 228/365: Single Light Source Portrait (via Jer Kunz)

Jer was killed over the weekend, hit by a drunk driver while he was participating in a relay race.

Jer was an amazing amateur photographer, I was able to meet and interact with him through the photochallenge.org group.

He leaves behind a wife, and two beautiful children.

If you are interesting in making a contribution in Jer’s name or just leaving the family a comment please check out the blog entry below.

Wow, previous break ins to a John Hopkins University students residence had resulted in a stolen laptop and a stolen Sony Playstation 3.

So when the kid heard noises in his place at 1am he grabed his Samuri Sword and went to investigate. He found the door pried open and a burglar lunging at him.

The Kid nearly severed the intruders hand and fatally lacerated the burglar in the chest. Yes, fatally.

I’m with Donny Allen of Gizmodo, the guy probably didn’t deserve to die for petty theft, but he had priors and… he was dumb enough to return to the same place and mess with a gamer.

As my Farther in Law says… “You mess with the bull, you get the horns.”
