    My latest food obsession.
In looking for some hard candies to sooth a tickle in my throat I ran across these gems in the Wegman’s bulk section. These are a lost memory from my childhood.
My Grandma used to keep these as part of her candy dish, and as a youngster sneaking candies it was always a bit of a surprise to run into a coffee flavored candy, non the less, due to my consistent bad luck maybe,  I developed a taste for them and even began to seek them out, tossing aside the butterscotch, chocolate and mints in search of this little coffee gem.
Since then I had forgotten about these, and even finding them at the store didn’t bring back the memory, it wasn’t until I tried one that the memories came flooding back. Almost like a little parting gift from my grandmother who passed away earlier this year.
Columbina Coffee Delights.
There are about 15 calories per candy, but I can’t for the life of me find an ingredient list online. I am curious if there is real coffee and therefor real caffeine in them, I suspect there is. It has to be why they are so good.

  • Telling Americans to eat fewer hot dogs is a good thing. Less sodium means less heart disease. But equating a baseball snack with an inhaled load of toxins—and saying dogs should carry cigarette-style warning labels—seems to fall in the probably a distortion of the facts category.

People buy Burger King burgers to feed bears | 9news.com

The Division of Wildlife is worried that they will have to put these bears down, now that they have connected food to people.

Perhaps, and that would be tragic, but I think the bears might just come back looking for some Tums and Lipitor.

    I need this…
agentizzy353:

This my friends is a Completo. If you go to Chile- you have to eat one of these. It’s an all beef hot dog covered in slices of tomato, mashed avocado and a slathering of the best chilean mayonnaise (which is not at all similar to the disgusting stuff they make here in the US) and a little aji for kick. This stuff. Omg. In Vina they make the best Completos ever. The sausage they use I have never seen in the US- it’s some type of Chilean one that nobody can compete with, same with the bread- it’s steamed and then sits on the flat top for a few moments to get a little flaky-crispiness to the outside.
Unf.
Dying for one of these.
