We are keeping my 7yo daughter home from school today with a low grade fever. But she of course is heartbroken because she cannot see her friends and pass out her valentines.
I remember that sort of feeling, and my heart aches with hers Being a good parent is hard.
However since we are both going to be home today we are going to watch the greatest age appropriate love story of all time, together.

A quick trip to the pediatrician reveled that she has the beginning of an ear infection, nothing contagious, so she was cleared for school.
Unfortunately I didn’t get my Princess Bride time… But I have tentative plans for heart shaped pizza, dessert, and a viewing of TPB later. :)
